When Will We Learn?
There are so many questions that we leave unanswered.
So many problems in the world that are left untouched. Life alone
can have its ups and downs. Maybe if we all just took one step away
from the lives we live, and step into the shoes of someone else, we
would be more thankful for what we have. We never know if today
may be our last day to see the sun, breathe in precious air, or hug the
ones we once loved. I have felt pain where there should be excitement,
and seen things that are unexplainable.
Yet, I still find some way to hold on to that wire thin string
of sanity I have left. I have learned that people can change when you
least expect it, leaving an open wound from the stab to your back.
I also know that giving up is not an option and that success comes in
many forms; you just need to know where to find it. The beating of the
heart, breathing of the lungs, and thinking of the mind works together
in perfect harmony creating life. Oh so precious, and still so vulnerable.
We all go through measures to make the scene, and to fit in with the
crowd costing us embarrassment or even shame. Just being yourself
opens a door for opportunities. But don’t take my word for it. It is only
accomplished first hand.
