Bright Light in My Life
Heads bowed, shoulders slumped we gathered collectively to carry our cumbersome grief. The cold, steady autumn chill snuffed the flames from some vigil candles, but we were quick to relight, keeping alive that feeling of warmth that reminded us of her loving heart. Anna. Her smile. Her laugh—that laugh, that contagious trill that could infect everyone around her. There were storytellers and quiet listeners. There were long pauses to take it all in. There was Anna: in our hearts, on our lips, and in the stars above—the stars shining brightly upon us, the light she will always continue to bring to our world. That light—she knew how to bring light into anyone’s life. She was the light to everyone’s life. She truly will be so dearly missed by family, friends, and everyone she has met throughout her life.
