I Still Remember...
I still remember your face, and the way that you looked at me. I still remember your voice, and the pleasant sound it made. I still remember your hug, how I loved that warm embrace.
I still remember your face, and the way it could never see me. I still remember your voice, and hearing the pain you were in. I still remember your hug, and how you were too weak to hold onto me.
I still remember how small you looked, just how fragile you seemed. I still remember the moans of an unspeakable pain. I still remember the last breath you breathed, and how you slipped away.
I still remember those sights and sounds when I close my eyes. I still remember how the bad memories can sometimes overcrowd the good. I still remember the hurt I could never save you from.
I still remember that I love you. I still remember that I miss you. I still remember that I will see you soon.
I still remember.
