Child's Play
I remember when I was a little girl spending summer afternoons with my grandparents. We would go through old boxes in their basement and my granddad would pull out old pictures and postcards, trinkets and toys. It just brought so much joy to my tiny self. I remember when my granddad pulled out this old Popeye doll and told me a story of how my dad would play with it when he was just a youngster. He’d run around the house with no shirt on, a can of green beans, and his beloved Popeye doll. The canned vegetables were supposed to make him powerful like the iconic strong man cartoon. I love my granddad.
