"The Hiesman Controversy" by Kevin Schroeder points out that Hiesman Trophy should be awarded for good character and talent.I can see the freshman quarterbackwho got it is talented on the field but when he is charged with sexual assualt off the field,that is outrageous.The NCAA should revoke him of his trophy. Like the article said, "Hiesman voters need to remember that this trophy is about character not capability".I agree with Kevin that Hiesman player needs to show good character off the field,combined with his athletic talent.Without both,the award becomes tarnished.
