My Opinion on Change
The writing titled Change, written by Sophia S., talks about how a homeless person changed how Sophia sees the world. Her writing left me feeling hopeful and motivated. I can relate to the author feeling helpless when she couldn't do more for the homeless person, because too many times I have felt useless myself when a chance to help someone slips by. When the author wrote, "I was merely at a loss than merely a loss of change", it really made me realize that chances to help people are always there. Sure, not always the same situation with the same person, but someone always needs help whether it be physically or mentally. It was sad when the homeless person said that there was only one person in the entire Best Buy that looked willing enough to help her. The author has a point I can agree with though, helping people changes one, it makes the heart swell in happiness. Like the author says, "For less than a dollar, my heart grew so much warmer", it's up to other people if they want that feeling or not.
