Mental Illness: Erase the Stigma
I can somewhat relate to Elaine when she wrote about mental illness in her article, “Mental Illness: Erase the Stigma” because I also deal with depression. My mom also deals with a few mental illnesses. She has been through awful conditions throughout her life. My mom is an extraordinary strong person. She has had to have more than 2 jobs to support her family while dealing with mental illnesses. She has not only set a great example for my siblings and I but she also proved that you can overcome anything. Even though she might feel “ashamed of what [she has]”, she is still a person and deserves to be treated with love and patience. Thank you Elaine for writing this article so there is more light on mental illness.
