Just Listen MAG
Why won’t people listen
To the things I have to say?
Just because I’m a minor
Do you have to walk away?
The many times I’ve asked you
To listen to my words
The many times you’ve turned away
Will my voice ever be heard?
Why do people care
So much about my age?
When I try to say something
My thoughts are left at bay
They always say they’ll listen
They always say they care
About my hopes,
My thoughts,
My dreams,
But no one’s ever there
No ever listens
No one ever cares
At least that’s what it seems
When no one helps me share
What I think about the world,
And how it’s run today
And how mankind has made
All of their mistakes to date
I know that we are slowly
Destroying planet Earth
I’ve been told that maybe someday
Someone will really care
About what I really want to say
And my ideas will be shared
I only have to wait
For five more stalling years
For the silence to be broken
Then maybe someday,
I’ll be heard.
