If I could
Like all of us, our world will one day cease to exist. Although many are working to prolong this unavoidable event, there are too many issues that need solving during the little time each of us have on Earth. If I had the opportunity to better the environment, I would begin by providing funds and resources to corporations who are working to create sustainable energy using unharmful resources. Along with this, it’d be most beneficial to address the real issue: the lack of urgency or care that comes from the people within the very world that’s in danger.
Many organizations work to achieve a reduction of the use of fossil fuels and dangerous chemicals. Instead, they look for renewable resources people can use so we don’t run out, and the environment isn’t harmed. By providing funds to move along their work, it’d be easier for them to work more efficiently.
In addition, even if all environmental issues in the world were to be solved, it’d only be temporary. The Earth is constantly being used for granted, with many landfills, chemicals, and construction polluting it’s grounds. There should be more awareness of the terrible things that us humans are doing that negatively affect our world. To accomplish this, if I had the ability to better the environment, I’d start or fund an organization based around educating not only the youth, but all ages of how we can help provide for the world that provides for us. There could be more opportunities in schools to go on field trips to facilities that use renewable energy, or show them what it looks like to “go green.” In order to change the world, it needs to come from the people in it. We can’t survive without the world, but it can survive without us. We need to save it before we destroy it.
