In the small town of Parabola there was a beautiful apple tree. This tree was in the middle of the town it was the only thing in the town that brought visitors. Families came from all over came to see this tree, they got to listen to the history of this tree and take a little part of it home with them. Everyone got one apple from this tree, they got to cherish this tree that was a true privilege to everyone.

On a sunny September day the Schultz family went to the town of parabola to see this tree. They learned the history of this tree and when it was planted and who has kept its memories going along through the ages. The Schultz family got to take one apple home, they gave the apple to the baby of the family, Dominic. Dominic told his parents about how pretty the apple was and how he thought it was going to taste amazing.

When the family got home Dominics grandmother Shelby came over so that Dominics' parents could go to dinner at a fancy restaurant. Shelby wasn't a very good babysitter she watched her cooking shows until she fell asleep and dominic went out into the yard with the apple. He started to kick around the apple laughing as it fell into pieces before his eyes. He found it funny that the apple was so fragile, Dominic got tired of kicking the apple around so he went back inside and watched tv. Dominic never thought of that apple again, but eventually he realized that he should appreciate delicious food such as that apple but it was too late for that beautiful green apple. The apple was wasted, it rotted in Dominnics back yard unnoticed by all. It had such a delicious potential, but now it is forgotten.

This is something I wrote for my English Class I hope you enjoy.  This short story for me showed how the enviroment around us can help us blossom and flurish or it can stop our growth and shrink us down to nothing.
