Digging a Hole
I asked him why he was digging a hole.
He said, "to bury things."
I asked him what he could possibly have to bury.
"Nothing you would understand," he answered.
"Well, can I help?"
"No," he said, "then we'd have to bury your things too. And you don't want that now do you?"
"Well, I don't know, maybe I do."
"No, you don't. You don't want my things and frankly I'm not sure I want yours."
"Well, don't say that."
"Look, I just don't want us to have to bury each other."
