Amy, can you pass the cookies?
I’ve got chocolate, vanilla, coco…
(Amy gives Leah the cookie bag)
(Stealing a cookie from Leah)
Are you sure we’re not lost, Percy?
Of course not (concerned and looking at the GPS)
(Milo laughs softly)
He’s secretly driving us into a cliff, aren’t you?
That’s not on the bucket list.
You know what is on the bucket list? Cry.
Scene 2: Camping place
(They’re all setting up tents and other camping stuff while chatting)
PERCY! Where are the little studs for our tent?
You expect me to know?
Well, yes. You bought and packed the tent.
Amy, hon, will you please tell me why there’s four types of teas in the grocery bag?
(Amy shrugs with a funny mischievous grin)
Milo! Where did you leave the axe?
Why do you need an axe?
I have to go and cut some firewood.
I’ll do it.
Why? You think I can’t? Because I’m a woman?
No, because you’re you. You sprained your arm making your bed.
Scene 3: Camping place and the woods.
(A week has passed, everyone has settled, the camp is a tad messy)
(The stage is divided into three sections, one with Lilith and Percy, one with only Amy, and one with Milo and Leah)
(Everyone freezes when their section doesn’t speak)
(Her and Percy are sitting down in camp chairs)
I feel like our campsite needs more, I don’t know how to explain it, it needs…
Character? Charisma? Colour?
It definitely starts with a C.
Ha ha, very funny.
(Lilith laughs and Percy soon follows)
(They freeze, scene change)
(Organising a box full of DVDs)
Jaws, Titanic, The Godfather, Matilda, Karate kid, The Breakfast Club, The Truman show, The Shining, Rocky, Forrest Gump, To Kill a Mockingbird, Mary Poppins, Gone with the wind, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, West Side Story, Citizen Kane, The Sound of Music…
(Amy freezes, scene change)
(Milo and Leah walking in the woods)
It's a bit cold today.
Yeah, I mean it’s August, it should be scolding hot. Thankfully it isn’t though.
I can’t stop thinking about it.
The fact that in two weeks we will never see each other again, it kills me, I’ve never had real friends before you guys and I don’t wanna lose you, you know.
You’re not losing us, we’re just going to see each other less. But we will still visit during the long weekends and spend summer together. It won’t be the same, i know.
And what about meeting new people? I'm not good at that. At all
But you’re so bubbly and outgoing.
When I’m with you guys, I’m only like that when I’m with the people I trust.
(Leah hugs Milo and when they separate they look at each other, maintaining eye contact for a bit longer that what their supposed to)
(They smile at each other, nervous and excited at the same time)
Scene 4: Camping place.
(Fast forward to one week later, Milo and Leah have kept their relationship a secret but are ready to tell their friends)
(Lilith, Amy and Leah surrounding a bonfire)
Leah, you ok? You look like you just saw a ghost.
I’m perfectly fine.
(Milo and Percy enter, Milo is nervous and Percy, completely oblivious)
Our dear Leah looks like a ghost.
Didn’t I look like I had just seen one?
(Milo look intentionally at Leah, she nods)
We have something to say.
(Leah stands up)
We’re together, like, we’re a couple.
(Percy, Lilith and Amy’s faces lit up, happily. They hug Milo and Leah)
(It all happens at the same time)
Leah and Amy’s college-Harvard
(They’re walking down a hallway, talking. Leah gets a phone notification and smiles)
(Milo’s looking at his phone smiling while sitting in class)
(Lilith is painting a canvas in the floor with headphones on)
(Percy’s cutting an onion while talking with a classmate)
