Last Night, I Dreamt
Last night I dreamt I would run away to Bejing, China, waiting in line for the strawberry banana smoothie, while I reread the Martin Luther King Jr, “I have a dream speech.”
The Mediterranean sea was a pukey green color, you could hear a faint howl in the vast distance. People speaking to you, saying “Ni Hao!” or “Frueline.”
I dreamt I was watching a Jack Black movie, with Da Vinci’s art in the back, with a seahorse that screams “Bro!” While Alex ran in his Vans, yelling “oh my god” while someone behind him screams “It’s the end of the world as we know it.” The sky was sunny when it all happened, I waited for my eggs benedict, and a trauma nurse told me “Hades will be second to last, Joanne.”
