Just Say Yes
She tucked stray pieces of her short, dirty blonde hair behind her tiny studded ears and sucked on her bottom lip like she always did. She chuckled and her mouth bent into a smile that felt like home to him. Her fingers started tapping on the picnic table in a way that would be quite irritating if it was anyone else in the world.
And then he confessed. He confessed that all he had ever wanted were her mood swings, shooting star tattoo, chocolate fondue obsession, kindness, and tap dancing fingers.
He held his breath as her smile started to fade.
