Black Sheep
We are a Venn diagram of features - my parents, my brothers, and I - a kind of collection with varying features. Same nose there, same eyes here. Our faces are in our parent’s youth; you can spot it in the photo album.
But one of these things is not like the other and Mitchel is harder to find. His hair is too dark, his lashes too long. His cleft chin is curious - all of our jaws run smooth. His eye brows are caterpillars, furrowing with movement. One of these things is not like the other, though our walk is the same our sarcasm is slick. He is the black sheep, though he is one of our own.
