The Fresh Air’s Flower
Once in a lifetime, there grew a flower, a flower that no one could touch. The flower was so fragile, it had to be protected by the beautiful fresh air. One day a little girl was walking to get a loaf of bread from the market street. She saw the flower in a window of the museum in the town. The little girl was very curious. So as many kids do, she went to look for it. The little girl snuck into the museum, past the guards in every row of the ancient artifacts. Usually, you have to have an adult with you at all times while in the museum, but for all her mother knew, she was at the market getting bread. The little girl climbed about 50 flights of stairs, “This place is huge!”, she said in a raspy voice. “I’ve never done anything like this before, but now I see why.” She finally got to the top of the museum and there it stood on the brightly colored stained glass window sill. Then she touched the flower and the flower died, the whole town turned black and white, and the breath of the fresh air moved the leaves on trees, and the girl died a peaceful death.

I wrote this piece of writing in my writing class. This piece represents the number of serious dangers that can be caused by the smallest of actions. Like in the story, a flower affects the entire town because of the action of a little girl.
