August 2022 Fiction Contest: Unsent Letter
7/18/1976
Mickey,
I received your letter and gift in the mail. Although I appreciate that you went out of your way to mail these things especially since expenses are tight where you are, I have something I've been meaning to get off my chest for a while. You're going to laugh at me but I have feelings for you. I know it's a stupid excuse for the way I've acted in the past but it's the truth. I'm afraid that now I've confessed we cannot talk anymore, I ruined our friendship enough as it is. I'm truly sorry.
Love,
Suzie
