The wildest colts make the best horses!

The world stood before me. Power curling & swirling in my hands. With one word I could end all. As the temptation sat there in my palm a voice greets me. "Long time, no see."

I whirl to confront my enemy, strands of power all ready heading in that direction. A strand curls the figure's throat, squeezing ever so gently.
"Think on these decisions, or all will end utterly." The figure disperses, vanishing from my strand of power with a taint of ancient power.
Voices call in the distance. Voices mingle with horns. I must act soon or all will be lost. Yet something holds me back. An unspoken pledge binds in place.

Should I? I would be ruining everything, & gain anything. The pledge holds be back once again. I realize I will be unable until I wipe out this promise. Turning on my heel I stalk into the lengthening shadows of dusk. Purpose with each step.

Just popped into mind. A bit about people being power-hungry. Always wanting more.
