Fire Emblem: Awakening on Nintendo 3DS
Ever since I got this game for Easter I immediately fell in love with it. Not only is the game fun but it has great characters and cutscenes. The gameplay on it is very smooth.
It has two main game modes, classic and casual. In classic mode, when a character dies they are lost forever. Each descision counts. In casual, if a character dies they come back as soon as your battle is complete.
It comes with three default difficulty levels and one unlockable. There is normal (easy), hard (little more difficult), lunatic (hard) and if you manage to beat lunatic you unlock lunatic+ with this difficulty enemies come way stronger than your characters.
The characters in this game are great. My personal favorite is Henry. He makes corny jokes, and for someone who loves death he is very likeable. It also has support conversations where some characters get married. Some of these are sad, happy, or even just plain funny. When you get certain characters to an S-Rank support they can get married. With marriage you can get future versions of the characters' children.
It has a very good storyline. The story is full of plot twists, flashbacks, and in some cases, humor. Throughout the story you will start to like some characters more than others.
It also has downloadable content (DLC) which gets you bonus chapters. By completing these you can get items or bonus characters.
If the game did not sell as well it did, it would have been the last in the series, but, because it sold so well another game is coming. These are just some of the almost infinite reasons I love this game.
