Exodus: Gods and Kings

I recently attend Exodus: Gods and Kings expecting a fun night at the theatre and at least a decent movie I was dismayed to find a unbearingly long snore fest filled with bad acting, poor cinematography, and some of the poorest writing I have seen in the past few years. Sigourney Weaver who plays the pharaoh Rameses plays one of the poorest roles of his career and fails to appear menacing  for even a minute and often stutters through lines. The blame is not entirely on the Weaver though as the script writers gave him little room to blossom. Aaron Paul is supposedly an important character although he has at most ten lines in the whole movie and often only stares at moses during his conversations with God. the movies only passable characteristics is the special effects. The plagues look realistic enough however this to is also ruined by several questionable decisions such as a horse running from a tidal wave that has no business being there. All in All I would not advise wasting the time and money it takes to see Exodus: Gods and Kings and would rather recommend doing something more enjoyable such as hitting oneself repeatedly with a rock
