The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
The book “The House on Mango Street”, is a novel written by Sandra Cisneros. I think it is a good book and people should read it.
The plot in this story is that Esperanza wants a house of her own and not to be poor. She also wants to be able to be herself, and she doesn’t like her name. The setting is a small city and she lives in a small house on Mango Street with her mom, dad, and brothers and sisters.
In the story she doesn’t like her name, “I would like to baptize myself under a new name.” She also didn’t like her house,” One day I will say goodbye to Mango.”
I would reccomend this book to everyone because I think it is a good book.
