The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The City of Bones kept me reading all day and staying up all night and left me still wanting more!
About three year ago I was looking for a new book to start reading that was more action packed than the books I’ve been reading before. So when I came across City of Bones I was immediately hooked! This book had action, fantasy, humor, supernatural, and romance for me it was a match made in book heaven!
The City of Bones was a compelling story about a hidden world that you never knew existed and if everyone around you is truly who and what they say they are. The book was never a predictable story; it was only filled with plot twists that made you scream, yell, and cry for whatever reason. It made you stay up thinking of what the next book is going to have and if the characters are really going to defeat their obstacle and if they really will be together in the end? WARNING the book has a lot of violence, gore, and death! And I few sexual moments in the series but nothing too descriptive and you’re not up for that go find something else but you will be missing a one of a kind series.
This book is the first of the six books in The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and none of books in the series had left me disappointed (maybe a few character’s deaths…) but left me thinking of what more Cassandra has to offer.
