The hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
We all have an adventure seeking side in us, but sometimes it takes a little help to see it. For Bilbo Baggins it was just another afternoon, when there was a knock on the door. A party of dwarfs and a wizard came to him for help, as they believed he was a professional burglar. He has never stolen an item in his life. He was taken out with nothing as they were to provide everything needed. They set off on his journey they face many dangers. It was uncertain if they would be alive for the return journey.
As they went on with their adventure, they were captured countless times. They managed to escape every time. They had made many friends in their travels. They help kill smaug and free the land. The final part of their adventure was the battle of the five armies. When Bilbo got home he was thought to be dead. He had received treasure for his trip, but used most of it to buy his items back.
I do recommend this story to a wide variety of age groups. This story can entertain middle school students to adults. If you like to read stories with suspense, this is it. You never know what will happen, when it looks like the end, that’s when it gets interesting.
I think this story is one that many kids should read, rather a school assignment or just because they love to read. I give The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien a 5/5 star rating. This is a classic story that I would like to see other kids reading too.
