Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
“We never burned right...”
Ray Bradbury puts a very interesting twist on how many people view the future. Fahrenheit 451 is about firefighters. But in this book they don't “fight” fires. They start them. Their duty is to find books and burn them. In this future it is illegal to possess books. Everyone believes that's books are meaningless and give you no knowledge. Some people hide books because they believe in the books. Fire “starters” come to their house when someone reports them and they burn all the books in the house. Montag, one of the firemen, gets his mind change about books when a lady burns herself along with her books.
I don't really agree with this kind of future. I don't think it will ever happen. I think books will be loved and cherished forever. The books paints a very nice picture in your mind. I enjoyed reading this book because i would never even think about this kind of plot. I really liked it.
If your someone that loves and cherishes books, then this book is for you.
