My brothers keeper by Patricia McCormick
My brother’s keeper by: Patricia McCormick
This story is about one brave young boy who tries to keep his family from falling into pieces after his dad decides to leave them. Toby Malone finds his older brother, Jake, slipping into some bad habits while trying to cope with the loss of his father. Toby, the middle child of three boys, takes it upon himself to cover for Jake whenever he does something bad. Toby finds himself stuck in between his mother and his older brother.
I like this book because Toby reminds me of myself. Whenever there is a conflict in my family, I am the one who remains calm, and tries to keep the peace. I too am the middle child of three children. I sometimes find myself dealing with the same issue of good and evil. In my opinion, I wouldn’t change anything in this book. It is realistic and sets a prime example of how difficult life can get. Without a doubt, id recommend this book to anyone who likes real life situations, along with come comedy.
