The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
The book that I read is Book 3 of The Heroes of Olympus series, The Mark of Athena. The book was by the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and the Kane Chronicles series, Rick Riordan. I recommend this book because it has a great plot and is the perfect book if you're seeking thrills. Also this book has a lot of mythology in it, so if you love mythology this is the book for you!
This book is meant for grades 4-8. But, if I were suggesting who it is meant for I would also say grades 4-8 but if you like mythology you should still read this book. It’s great for kids because there is no strong language. So if i were you I would read this book if you have nothing else to do.
Rick Riordan’s emotion was very strong in this book. The characters basically all share the same emotions. They felt each others sorrow, anger, and sometimes happiness. I feel that the author really tried to express how the characters that just met each other shared so much emotion that you would think that they’ve known each other their whole life.
The story is about seven demigods fighting against Gaea and her minions and her children, The Giants. The story is also about trying to find out what The Doors of Death are. The main characters in The Mark of Athena are Percy Jackson, Jason Grace, Leo Valdez, Frank Zhang, Piper McLean, Annabeth Chase, Hazel Levesque, and Nico di Angelo. The main settings are the Argo II.
My opinion on this book is it is a wonderful nail-biting book. If you love mythology and or Percy Jackson this is the book for you. It has a great plot and everything else you could love in a book. If I were you I would go read The Mark of Athena now!
