The Hunger games is an amazing book if you like action, drama and romance. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Meellark (her partner) are the main characters of this book. Katniss and Peeta are both teenagers in this book and they live in District 12. Gale is a guy Katniss hunts for food with to sell to the peacekeepers for anything they might need.
Every year the capitol hosts the Hunger Games. Two people for every district go out and pick a boy and a girl for the games. These two people are to help Katniss and a Peeta survey and hopefully win the games. Cinna and Portia are the people who dress Katniss and Peeta up as their district. They are coalminers, but Cinna put them in flames to get more attention, which in my case it worked very well. After that they were in training, Katniss scored an 11 out of 12 and Peeta scored an 8 out of 12. Peeta thought it would be an idea to have a crush on Katniss for sponsors and support. Katniss liked the idea so she went along with it.


Finally the games have beguine. All of the 24 tributes are taken to the arena to fight. Katniss is on her one in this because there can only be one winner because Peeta joined the other tributes that are still alive. So then Katniss teams up with Rue, which is a little girl who helped Katniss when she was hurt. Rue reminds Katniss of her sister Prim. Katniss had a play to get the other tributes away from the food and supply that then need. Soon after Katniss come back from that Rue is gone. Does Katniss find Rue? I can’t tell you that so you are going to have to read for yourself and find out.
Katniss goes looking for Peeta and then eventually finds in down by the stream and he is hurt. Katniss helps him heal and the next day they are out in a plane sight were Cato tries to hurt them but he dies instead. Then they realized that they can only have on victor… What will happen next?
This book was an amazing book I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves reading. It was well righted with a lot of details so it feels like you’re really there. Peeta joins the other tributes and Katniss is saved by Rue who is gone. Then Cato is waiting for them to try to kill Katniss and Peeta but he ends up dyeing instead. Now Peeta and Katniss have a hard decision to make. Its either Katniss or Peeta who goes, or is it both who lose?
