A child called "it" by Dave Pelzer
A Child Called “it”: One Child’s Courage to survive is a heart stopping, emotionally true story .This story ‘s main focus is on a boy named David who starts out with a loving and caring family , until his mother begins drinking more and more everyday then begins abusing poor little David . While his father is doing his duty as a firefighter. My thoughts on this true story are that it’s a wide eye opener and makes you think about how people can change.
I believe the author‘s writing was a release for him., Its was a beautiful and powerful! These ideas come to me because; it helps you to feel blessed for having a great childhood and great parents. It also shows you how a child fights his battles for food and freedom.
This book left me with tears and the feeling of hope, joy, and love for the author and his story. It also makes me want to finish the rest of the series to see if David rating on this book wins his battle of freedom. My rating on this book A Child Called “it”: One Child’s Courage to survive is that I give this story five gold stars not silver stars but gold.
