What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen
Mclean Sweet has lived with her dad for two years and so far she has moved 4 times. In each place, she was someone different. First she was Eliza, a cheerleader, then she was Lizbet, the girl in every club, then Beth, the girl who wore striped polo shirts. But this town is different. Here, Mclean doesn’t know who she is. Then she meets Dave.
In this book, Mclean finds herself constantly searching for a third option or a third way out. The author, Sarah Dessen engages you emotionally. She really makes you think about real life. Once I got into it, I could hardly put the book down! I really loved this book because Mclean realizes who she is and meets people who change her life. I realized that you have to treasure your friends before they slip away, right through your fingers.
I think any girl who likes realistic fiction books should read it because it shows how important true friends really are.
