The Tile of the Book is “Essential Grammar” & whereas the subtitle of the
book is “ A Self Study Reference & Practice Book for Elementary Students
of English” which is written by Raymond Murphy.

Raymond Murphy has written another Book name as “Intermediate English
Grammar” which is written & designed for the reference and practice for
South Asian students. It is for intermediate and more advanced student
combines reference grammar and practice exercises in a single volume.
Whereas “Essential Grammar” the mainly focused for false beginners right
up to the intermediate level. This can be used as reference and for self-
study. This book contains all the essential grammatical lessons: modal verbs,
tenses, prepositions etc. each page on the left side is a new lesson and each
page on the right side has useful exercises.

In my opinion, the order of the grammar points presented are very good
with easy understanding I really like the explanation of ‘modal verbs’
'adjectives + prepositions' and 'verbs + prepositions'. They were lots of
pages with lists of common preposition patterns and explanations to the
meaning of these phrases. I think that this would be helpful to all.

The “Essential Grammar” book was published in 1990 & having ISBN # 81-
7596-029-9.
