Vegan Virgin Valentin
Vegan Virgin Valentine was written by Carolyn Mackler. It is about a character named Mara Valentine, who is a "good girl". She gets good grades, she is a vegan, and she is running against her womanizing ex-boyfriend for valedictorian. She got accepted to her school of choice, Yale. She is all her parents could have ever wanted, unlike her older sister, and everything was going perfectly until she got the news from her parents that her sixteen year old niece, V, was coming to live with her. She wasn't exactly V's biggest fan, and she didn't want her to come and ruin everything for her. Ruining Mara is basically what V did. Now, Mara is incredibly stressed, and it doesn't help that she is falling in love with her twenty two year old boss at Common Grounds, the coffee shop that she works at. Her best friend happens to be in love with him as well. Everything is spinning out of control for her and she even begins to dream about grilled cheese sandwiches. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
