Ashes to Ashes
I found the poem "Ashes to Ashes" extremely relatable. Destiny Reid talks about being a Phoenix, but at the end she says "I wonder if Phoenixes grow tired and their bones grow weary because I can't seem to contruct myself again." I've feltthis way before, where I can't seem to pick up all my pieces and find myself. In a way, I am a Phoenix just like Destiny. I've never heard someone say it out loud, but it feels good to know someone feels that way too. Thank you Destiny for your words.
