Dress to Impress
The writing “Dress to Impress,” written by Cooper G, talks about unfair dress code for girls. His writing left me feeling surprised. This article is very relatable for many schools around this area. I can relate to this article because girls can only wear certain things to school as he wrote, “Halter tops and spaghetti straps are not permitted. Tank top straps that are two inches wide. Any pants worn must not have excessive holes or rips in them.” Most of these rules apply to girls, and guys don’t really pay attention to them. As Cooper writes, “My sister’s experience made me question whether the dress code is unfair to girls,” it really is unfair. Girls are just trying to stay with what’s “in” right now. This article left me feeling surprised because it seems odd that a guy would express his feelings towards a dress code and say that it is unfair to girls.
