Autumn Evening
Her yellow eyes watch the prey walk around
Her back inches higher about to prance
She kills her prey without making a sound
She ate her dinner that was caught by chance
Crawls in her bed cozy in the late night
Circles into her spot and starts to purr
She falls into sleep as her dreams take flight
Wind circles through the night, tangling fur
Sweet sound of her purr ripples through the air
Soft glow of the moon fills the night’s dark sky
Only visible through the clouds small tear
Sleeps in wait for her next prey to come by
Clouds sweep across the sky, hiding the star
She drifts into sleep, traveling afar
