Sonnet 3 - Enamored
I declare my love for you,
In the only way I know.
Through words of passion,
To tell of your warm glow.
A glow that’s blinding,
But so compelling I cannot look away.
It’s as if time has frozen,
And the rest of the world has faded to gray.
But my words are merely scribbles,
Which cannot compare to thee.
And trying ensures defeat.
So with my pen I plea –
Your scribbles must cast a light
On my love for such a beautiful sight.
