Firecracker Eyes
My silent head I cannot calm,
Its despairing skies are pierced with light
Though your marvellous eyes only ever brought harm
Your gaze swallows me, I put up no fight
I was always empty, unsure how to feel,
You never grew peace in my shivering heart
But the torment was mine and the agony real
Heartbreak annihilated the void and took me apart,
Inject me with rain and howling thunder
Love shook me hard so I arose,
How you destroyed such a creature I often wonder
You boiled the heart the monster froze,
Sadness was fiercely numb, and brutally cold,
But the fire in me scorches lit by eyes that shine gold.

Falling in love is far from rational, but it's easy to trade sanity and peace for the enguish of love. Because all the arguements and mood swings and desire are worth it. It's the most human thing in the world to sacrifice everything to be in love.
