Sanity's Grip
Your heart becomes taut as you hear the news,
hopeless gapsps escape your stuttering lips
Woeful souls mourn, they are filling the pews,
trudge with me through pain of this dark eclipse.
Your every grasp of sanity fades,
nirvana, you will never know again.
You'll tire of faking feeble charades,
you pray and pray this is the final blow.
Slowly, but surely, the wounds start to heal,
escape the numb feeling, leave this cruel dream.
Potential for the future; it's surreal,
returning to your eye, a hopeful gleam.
Accept your fate, for the torment will come,
remember love will conquer grief and glum.
