The Sweet Ride
The bright lights glitter when the sky goes dark
We scream and shout at the amusement park
Pink cotton candy plus big teddy bears
And superhero capes everyone wears
With giant rides that shoot through the sky
And photo booths for that cute girl and guy
Lines stretch on for miles but we join them still
Chattering away and seeking a thrill
Steel bars pulled down, we shared a nervous grin
The ride jerked forward; don't scream and you'll win
It climbed higher and I squeezed my eyes shut
I screamed as it dropped, not making the cut
We got off laughing. "How great!" we all say
That's when I know we'll be back soon one day
