Torn Down
She was called a waste of space and no good,
She believed every hate filled lie,
She was different, just misunderstood,
She was frail, timid and shy,
She was confused and lost,
Doing anything to be cool,
Not paying attention to the cost,
She started to realize the world is cruel,
But now she’s cut down and abused,
She wanted a friend,
Poor girl, misguided and used,
She wished it all would end,
She wanted to feel alive,
So from a big building, she took a dive.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. -Edgar Allan Poe
