My Beauty
Too far away, like an ocean apart,
There is a woman my dear heart longs for,
Not a beauty to all, but all lacks heart,
Heart to see that beauty is so much more.
Over the sea is my one beauty lies,
Sea of acceptance from society,
The reason for my many tears from cries,
Cries taking my few bits of sanity.
Remained despondent but still serene
‘Case my heart and soul know what’s real and true
But the society thinks it’s obscene
Love that doesn’t need a critic’s review.
I don’t care because she is my beauty,
‘Cause my heart speaks “She is my one only.”
