The cut

I decided to go in for a trim
And that's when my life got dim
It all started when she told me to sit in the chair
And that she's gonna cut my hair
It used to be to my butt
But that was before she made the cut
People tell me it's so cute
But I'm pretty sure it's just to keep me from being a brute
