Cooking
The macaroni burns on waves of heat,
Its yellow color fading into brown.
And at the schoolhouse holds a mom to beat,
And I refuse to go down to the ground.
The last year's grief has brought this year's sadness
The other mother's dish far more supreme.
The walls of hatred becoming madness,
Vision of winning is always my dream.
But dreams fade away as the fateful dish
Has a dark color and a nasty look.
I take it, spoon it, thinking of my wish,
To not become the world's most hated cook.
While I hurry up to the school today,
I see a poster stating, "huge delay".
