In Between Simplicity and Complexity

When i was little/I used to point a chubby finger toward the dark sky/And ask my father/why some stars moved and others didn’t/He would laugh and explain that some were airplanes/I still wish on them today ~ Laugh-It-Out
The feathers of a crow are black/The ink of my pen is blacker/The pain of my heart is blackest~ Mckay
If love produced a blossom/I’d take it in my palm/What a blessing, the bright color!/How soothing, such a balm!/I’d keep a petal for my own/The rest, drop from my hands/For such a flower would multiply/And populate the lands~ thesilentraven
And I began to rival legends/Long entombed before my birth./But for all my much envied fame/The lust for more would not abate./The plaques and prizes with my name/Will, like all things, disintegrate. ~ TheEpic95 now known as Helena_Noel


Any thoughts I form or ideas I perceive
The voicing methods, me simply elude
Yet for long and long, I believe
I, this enigma diligently pursued


When inside this thinking train
Seems ever so simple, a reflection
If but once speech supports the brain
But no, that isn't my actual question

Between the mouth and the heart’s nerve
From where a figment may truly originate
There’s the mind, whose over-processings serve
As vortexes for words that utterance initiate

Then how to skip the middle or remove the in-between?
Isn't it a wonder, both simple and complex, to have seen?

Hey, Mckay! So good to see you. And thanks so much for pointing that out, I usually tend to miss these technicalities. And I'm ever so glad too and yes, it really was awful that time when I just couldn't think of anything to write or read or muse or anything at all....it was awful.

This is such an elegant poem :D "Between the mouth and the heart's nerve" is a gorgeous golden line. The poem illustrates that chase for words and paper and all the things I want to say as a writer, the feeling of knowing that  they are right in front of me and realizing that I have no idea how to fit them togeather. Post writer's block musings are always the most interesting :) Good to know you're writing again.

Glad to hear you're out of the writer's block. One of the worse things to experience. EVER! alkjf;sdkjsdlksdf Sorry for that. There's an annoying fly in the room right now. Anywho, I think "between" should have been lowercased for being a preposition. I know it's technical and minor. Other than that, really fun to read. And glad, as I said, that you're writing once again.
