The rhythm smoothly flows

The rhythm smoothly flows,
Like a river flowing by.
First it comes, and then it goes,
Yet never does it die.
Behind the flowing rhythm
Lies another hidden beat.
That falls behind the conundrum
Of the people on the street.
Music is here, and it is there,
I relish it's omnipresence.
Some people stop to stare,
And other stop to spare a pence.
Music has helped me with my strife,
For music has always been my life.
