Broken Hearts
The hearts that never stop bleeding red blood
Because of heartbreaks unfortunately suffered
When children are cast out finding love in the mud;
Tear streaked cheeks lit by loves fiery torch, brightly burned.
Kind lady who took this child into her homes
And taught to live well, taught him loves fair light.
Now child grew tall and kind, with lady, he roams.
But he met her and he learned love’s might.
Her dark long locks drew men like crows to road kill.
And little boy that he was, he lost her love.
Kind lady’s work wasted, his heart stopped and stood still
Turned little man to madness by the fallen dove,
And anger turned to lovely hate. Dove found dead cold.
Little man found face first in mud because of love’s hold.
