Life's Trials
May 22, 2013
The beautiful valley stretched calmly forth
and i traveled through it without a care
I was all alone as i headed north
with no destination and no despair
But my travels led me to a mountain
and, knowing nothing, i started to climb
I did not see that great valley again
for what seemed like an eternities time
I went up and up, away from the ground
Learning every time i stumbled or tripped
Many horrid things tried to tear me down
But i reached the top though my clothes were ripped
Never give up, do the best you can do
Conquer that mountain and learn from it too

I entered this poem in a poetry contest and i was one of the winners! Since i won my poem "life's Trials" is being published in a poetry book full of poems written by teenagers. Thank you all for helping me get to this level!
