Favorite Quote:
It doesn't matter

The skin of it is silky as the sea
The eyes of it darker than night itself
How hungry it looks when it runs so free
Who knows of its inner thoughts with oneself
With teeth sharper than a bold eagle’s claw
And the eyes and ears of such keen senses
When you see this creature you’ll see no flaw
Be alarmed this beast has sharp defenses
Who knows if it has any emotion
We only know by how it walks around
It takes a step forward in slow motion
We take a look no victim to be found
As it watches us with all its mad skill
We start to run as it leaps for the kill

This piece of writing started off about my family dog then became a poem about a beastly creature, hence the title brute.
