The Splatter of Matter
I sit here writing
Nothing eloquent
My thoughts not so inviting
My sorrow evident
I tap my pen
Gazing out the window
Picturing the sudden descent
Then hitting the grass below
No one runs to see
No one seems to care
No more air to breathe
No more life to share
Nothing but a splatter
Did I ever even matter?
