The End of Eternity
A passionate red paints a new beginning,
A lighter red paints the love that they share,
A faded red paints the love that is thinning,
A lonely white paints the life that they’ll bear.
A forlorn grey paints their children’s forever,
A menacing black paints the lie that they live,
An empty brown paints their time spent together,
A passionate red paints the anger they’ll give,
A son tainted by the colors of his parents,
A daughter looking for the love that it lacks,
He injects himself until his veins are transparent,
She loves every boy and dresses in black.
A legacy painted a passionate red,
A lonely family that can’t let go.
A hopeless blue is the lives that they led,
A waterfall of paints in a turbulent flow.
