Winter Snowfall
I sit at the window to watch it fall.
The ground is slowly blanketed in white.
Snow is a wonderful thing to us all.
The roads are turning very slick and bright.
When we wake in the morning you will see.
We all like to look at the winter scene.
Our eyes will take in what is so pretty.
There is no sign of what used to be green.
The streets are all hidden in ice and sleet.
No one makes a sound as the wind blows by.
Very few decide to go down the street,
As the snow continues to come down shy.
Most all people still continue to sleep,
The morning slowly comes up with a creep.
